Hershey Park

Audrey is finally tall enough to ride some of the bigger rides at Hershey Park....whoa! The claw was her first ride. It was so exciting for me to share this experience with her, but MAN, going on the ride with a child rather than a friend is totally different. I felt the need to add 'security' for her by holding out my arm in front of her. She was fine, she laughed and couldn't stop, she was fine.
Though she doesn't look happy, she LOVED the claw. Here she's learned to raise her arms! Yep, I still have my arms around her.
Finally going on the Ferris wheel. This was such a highlight for the kids. I worked on the sun flare photos, as the sun was streaming through the ride.

Liam enjoyed himself too, he was delighted on the rides that he was able to go on. He was so happy all day, even just to run from one ride to the next.Love his face here.

'Summer's Almost Here' Week - Friday

...and to end the work week....what's a better sign that Summer is almost here, than backyard sprinkler fun?!

We're off to the beach in a couple of weeks to celebrate Summer's actual arrival!

'Summer's Almost Here' Week - Thursday

I used to loathe anyone splashing me in the face, but not this girl...she thinks it's HYSTERICAL!

'Summer's Almost Here' Week - Wednesday

Not quite the same reaction as his sister. He was happier looking cool on the side.

'Summer's Almost Here' Week - Tuesday

She couldn't WAIT to get into the pool! We were hoping this was the year to go without the floaties, but due to her ear tubes we have to post-pone that.  Audrey was a trooper and didn't let that keep her from enjoying her time.

Confidence

Although she swam in the pool during vacation, and did attempt to swim without her floaties, Audrey still wasn't confident enough.

We went to the county park pool, where she is NOT allowed to wear floaties. She was forced to stay in the shallow end, unless she wanted to try swimming on her own. It took her watching one friend, to realize it was something she could do ALL BY HERSELF. Sure enough, it was all the encouragement she needed. She swam!
(sadly, I didn't have the camera with me, as I was IN the pool, but I'm sure we'll have more opportunities for capturing the moment when we have our 'official photographer' with us...aka...daddy)

What a great accomplishment!

I'm so proud of you, Audrey.
