So, a recent email from Mary (notbefore7), containing a link from another blogger - home sanctuary - got me thinking about my man. He has had the challenge this summer of being full-time dad. His profession is being a teacher, so he has the "luxury" of having off during the summer. I, however, work part-time on a quarterly basis...1 month every third month, AND I mostly work from home. July is my month to work, so my husband agreed to take care of our little, almost 3 year old so that I could work as much as possible, mostly during the days. This has been a great set up. He's taken to the challenge and tries planning something daily with her. He's a great dad in general, but it was really wonderful to see him rise to the challenge of planning their days. After putting Audrey down for a nap one day he came down stairs slowly, and sighed saying, "I feel like I don't ever get a break". Whew, do I understand! It definitely takes time to adjust to being at home, and not having down time whenever you need it (or at all some days). He's done a great job, and Audrey loves having all this time with Daddy. She even goes to bed most nights in anticipation of what tomorrow will bring with Daddy. I love having a husband so willing to be apart of his daughter's life, even if it means he doesn't get a moment to himself some days.
Thank you, Albert, for being such a helpful husband and loving your daughter so deeply. God knew what I needed and He brought me you. I love you!

So great of him! They are making such wonderful memories and building such a strong bond. Good for Al!
Not to mention...it is always good for them to have a window into our world!
We must have been having the same thoughts yesterday...as I also wrote Clark a thank you note yesterday for his participation in Madelyn's life and being such a huge support to me.
We are blessed by the men in our lives, may we never forget that.
Hope all is well.
