Audrey is 5 and Liam is 2, they both keep me laughing daily.

Liam: knock-knock
Anyone participating: who's there?
Liam: Airplane in the sky...
Anyone: Airplane in the sky who?
Liam: (a very looooong pause) knock-knock

Audrey: Oh no you gave me a boogie!!

Reading to Audrey...
Me: We'll have to read the rest later.
Audrey: (ultimate whiny voice) But MOMMY!!! I LOVE to learn!!!

Me: Liam, do you need to go lay down on Audrey's bed for a little while?
Liam: Yeah!
Me: Ok, why don't you go up and lay down for a bit.

(and he did....I went up to check on him, the door was closed and he was laying on her bed with the blanket over him.)

Me: Why do you think Jonah didn't jump in the water, he had to be thrown?
Audrey: Oh, because there was no diving board on the boat.

As I was dressing Liam for church...
Audrey: What's the opposite of wife?
Me: Husband
Audrey: Oh, then I want my husband to dress like Liam.

Every night we put the kids to bed Liam puts his head on Daddy's shoulder.
Daddy: (whispering) Night-night, Liam, I love you.
Liam: (whispering) basketball jones, oh baby

of all the songs we sing and listen to in our home, this is the ONLY song Liam sings.

Audrey is 5, and Liam is 2. They keep me laughing daily.

During the intermission of Annie...
Audrey: I want to live in an orphanage!
Me: But that would mean living with out mommy and daddy.
Me: Annie didn't have a coat or a warm blanket to keep her warm.
Audrey: I don't want to live in that kind of orphanage, I want to live in a nice one!
(I think she truly wanted pillow fights and lots of girls to sing with)

Audrey: that's terrible!
Daddy: you used to do the same thing when you were his age.
Audrey: that's not possible!
Daddy: Its not?
Audrey: No, I never thought that such a good kid would have done such
a thing!

Audrey: ..and what was the tooth thing?
Me: The tooth thing?
Audrey: Yeah, the first and then the twoth.

Liam: I wub ew, baby.

Cousin cuteness

We have had the pleasure of watching my niece two or three days a week this past fall. Audrey loves it so much, that on the days we don't watch her, she says she misses Carrie. She is such a sweet little girl, and I love seeing she and Audrey interact. Carrie gives Audrey the biggest smile and excited expression.

One morning after decorating our tree Audrey practically begged me to get a picture of she and Carrie in front of our tree. I am so glad we did.

Daddy: Mommy and I are going on a date tonight.
Audrey: Who's going to watch us?
Daddy: Bandit
Audrey: He can't watch us!
Daddy: Why not?
Daddy: Because he can't read stories.

Me: What kind is it?
Audrey: It has lots of caffeine so it's the 'Stay up all night" coffee.
Me: I like to sleep, so staying up all night might not be good.
Audrey: Oh, then it's "Stay up with your husband and talk" coffee.

Audrey: Don't let Atlas hurt Bandit! He's our only one!!!

Liam: (looking into my bowl) O-meaw in dare (pointing to his bowl)
Me: You want my oatmeal in your bowl?
Liam: Yeah! O-meaw in dare.

(this is often said after doing something naughty)

Audrey: GG is really old.
Daddy: Yes, but it's not nice to tell people they are old, it could hurt their feelings.
Audrey: Yeah, that wouldn't be nice.
