Audrey is the talker in the house. She's 3 1/2 and has much to say.
Playing with her very good friend, H (a boy, mind you).
Audrey: H, you can be Cinderella and I will be the mean step-mother.
H: (giggle, giggle) okay
Audrey: SWEEP the floor, then go to your room and PLAY!

Me: Who's your prince?
Audrey: Daddy is (awww)
Me: But, Daddy's my prince.
Audrey: Oh, okay then Liam will be my prince.

We've been talking about things that are appropriate and not appropriate to talk about outside of our family (ex. po.tty talk)
Audrey: If someone talks po.tty talk to me, that would not be nice.
Me: No, it's not nice.
Audrey: Yeah, it's rude and then they will throw me into the lion's den.
(uh....how did we mix that up??)

I was waiting in line to pay a bill at the local treasury office, so Audrey decided to sit next to another girl waiting for her mom (she was probably 10 - 11 yrs old). This is the conversation I overheard.
Audrey: Hi what's your name (she says this to EVERYONE she passes)?
Girl: My name is ----------- . What's your name?
Audrey: Audrey
Girl: That's a very pretty name.
Audrey: Yes it is! (don't you love the confidence)
Audrey: Where's your Daddy?
Girl: He's at work.
Audrey: My Daddy's at work too.
Audrey: What's his name?
Girl: His name is ----------- .
Audrey: Oh. Do you go to school?
Girl: Yes, do you?
Audrey: No, I don't go to school I have to be TALLER (as she stands up to show how tall she has to be).
Girl: How old are you?
Audrey: I'm THREE and a half!
Girl: How old is your little brother?
Audrey: He's 7 months. (wow...she knows that??!?!)
Conversation continues for quite some time while I remained in line, and then as I was being helped. So funny to hear her strike up and CONTINUE conversations with complete strangers. She loves to meet and talk to new people, and drill them about everything!

My three and a half year old will talk to anyone too. So we have had to have the "we do not talk to strangers about poop" conversation. Cute!
She;s quite the girly girly. Little princess! I love reading these each week!
oh my gosh - that last conversation is EXACTLY like what Allison would say. We went on a walk around the neighborhood yesterday and she was asking everyone their name and then precedded to name eveyone else in the family and Daniels age. That is so strange. I so wish we could get our girls together, they would have the funniest conversations!
She is just too cute!
I was always amazed at how Quintin always knows Colin's age. They listen to everything, don't they?
And the conversation is just priceless!! If they need to be taller to go to school - mine would never get there - HA!
DArn potty talk...gets you in the lion's den everytime...
What a socialite ;)
Do you always tell her to sweep the floor before she can go to her room to play? I'm just saying, she must have heard that from somewhere....
;-D
