Audrey is the talker in this house. She's 4 and has much to say.
Audrey: But I won't bewdaful see you.
(translation: But I won't be able to see you)

Climbing the stairs for quiet time (sobbing)...
Audrey: Mommy, (more sobbing) I want to take a nap so I can stay up early.

Audrey: I love flies
Me: Why?
Audrey: Because God made them and I want to be a peacemaker (thanks Susan Hunt)
Me: That's good.
Audrey: That's why I got these apples (from apple picking), so that fruit flies could eat them. I love fruit flies!

After coming home with Daddy rather than Mommy (and a sobbing fit)...
Me: Why were you so upset about going with Daddy?
Audrey: Because I wanted to go home with you.
Me: Why? It was nice for you to spend time with Daddy.
Audrey: But you're prettier than Daddy.
