Tiny Talk Tuesday

Oh what a week it has been. I won't be able to remember everything that was said, but Audrey (5) and Liam (2) keep me laughing daily. With the addition of Isabel (1 week), it's tough to write down everything, but here are some of the memorable things from this week.

Audrey: Mommy, Isabel sleeps so much during the day. She must be nocturnal!

Liam: What's dat, Mommy
(pointing to Isabel)

Liam: Fire-tractor

Me: Audrey, why is there a cup of water sitting on the counter?
Audrey: Oh, I wanted to watch it turn to ice.
(yep, it was cold in our house)

Liam: Squeeel!
real word: Squirrel
(he loves to stand at the window and watch the squeeels run in our yard)

Isabel Rebecca

We welcome with open arms and lots of kisses, our new little girl...

full of cuteness!

I have a ton of fun pictures to share, but I'll share this one...it pretty much describes how life has been at home. A big sister lovin' on her little sister, and a big brother trying desperately to get his Mommy's snuggles' back.

Audrey (5) and Liam (2) keep me laughing daily. Here is a bit of what they have said this week.

Me: Audrey, are you going to eat both halves of your bagel?
Audrey: Mommy, please stop begging.

Audrey: Liam was calling that color blue, but it's actually kertoise.
Me: Actually, that's turquoise.

Tiny Talk Tuesday

Audrey (5) and Liam (2) keep me laughing daily. Here's a bit of what they said this week.

Daddy: Audrey, I am going away for a week in May.
Audrey: You know what THAT means?!?!
Daddy: What?
Audrey: I get to sleep in Mommy's bed ALL week!!

Me: (reading) That's a girl crying. Can you cry?
Liam: No......No, NOT ME!!!

Pianist

Audrey loves music, and has quite the ear for it. It's a talent I'll never understand, and am amazed at her ability to sit and figure out any song she wishes.

She was inspired by Evan Lysacek's skating performance to Igor Stravinsky's Firebird, and decided to learn how to play it on the piano. Although I truly am excited about Audrey's talent, I post this simply to remember how she would spend her days at home...

Lost Tooth

The night before Audrey's 5th birthday she informed me that her baby teeth were going to start falling out. I wanted to ease her disappointment, that it might not happen overnight, and it might not even be this year. Within a couple of days Audrey wanted to know if her teeth were falling out yet. She opened her mouth wide so that I could inspect. I was fully ready to make this a dramatic, silly event, but before saying anything I noticed two white spots just behind her bottom, front baby teeth. What could that be?!?! I inspected further, completely forgetting my silly routine, and sure enough those were 'grown-up' teeth coming in. No!! STOP!! It couldn't be...she JUST turned five.

Several months later, she had her dentist appointment where she was informed that the two baby teeth will probably have to be extracted. Not even a month later, there was an ever so slight movement with one of her teeth. Whew...no extraction needed.

We are now a little less than a week prior to her half birthday (so roughly 6 months since those pesky 'grown-up' teeth showed signs of emerging). After enjoying breakfast, which was hard to manage with a dangling tooth, Audrey asked us to help her pull it. With the help of plyers the tooth came out.

So it's now official, Audrey's getting older. I can't stand it, but it's yet another thing I'll have to just get used to.
