Birthday Wish To My Love

I often write about my life as a Mom, the silly things my daughter does, and the cuteness of my son on this blog, but today I get to talk solely about my husband. It's his birthday today, and I get to talk about the wonderful man God has created.

He is a super Dad, and wonderful husband. He's creative, passionate, loves to learn, and a great writer (he's written me several poems and songs over the years). I love our nights together after the kids go to bed. Sometimes it's watching tv together, and most times it's just sitting while one or both of us does work on the computer. There is a comfort in knowing he's home.

He doesn't expect much from his birthdays, and I always want to make it a big to-do, but fail. Last year he turned 30, and all I did was buy streamers, party hats, and decorated the house. When he came through the door Audrey and I sang happy birthday to him. He commented throughout the year how sweet it was, a simple surprise to see the house decorated and us with our silly hats on ready to greet him. This year will simply be a "date" night. A rare occurrence these days, and very special to us. Despite my inability to plan a smashing party, he means the world to me, and I am SO thankful that God allowed our paths to cross so that I could be apart of this man's life.

I love you with ALL my heart, Albert. I am excited to see what God will do in your life this year.
